Berekum: Pastor steals musical instruments from another church to start his own church
Mathew Osika is the main suspect in this matter and the police arrested him after finding stolen musical instruments in his house following a tip-off.
The musical instruments were said to belong to the Amankokwaa Methodist Church in the Berekum West District in the Bono region, some criminals made way into the church and stole the items which included an organ, guitar, speakers, and others.
The methodist church reported the incident to the police who received a tip-off that the stolen items were in the possession of Mathew Osika who was also a man of God looking to establish his own church.
Osika after his arrest disclosed that he bought the things from another person and that he had no idea it was stolen.When asked to name the person, Osika did not and will, therefore, face the court with these charges, conspiracy, stealing and unlawful entry.The police disclosed that they are working to arrest all those involved in the crime.
