Chief Imam Honoured With Citation As Chief Patron For Sanitation
The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheik Osmanu Nuhu Shaributu, has been presented with a plaque and citation to confirm the Chief Patron title conferred on him last month by the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Cecilia Dapaah
It will be recalled that on October 2, 2019, the Sector Minister whiles on a tour within the Ga Municipal Assembly paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam and bestowed on him a Chief Patron title for Sanitation and Water.
During a courtesy call on the Islamic leader on Wednesday, November 12, 2019, Hon. Cecilia has concreted the title as she presented a plaque and citation as a mark of honour and distinction to the Chief Imam
Speaking at the short ceremony, the Minister observed that the nation appreciates his role and it was only proper to bestow such honour on him.
Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah thanked the Chief Imam for the warm and cordial reception accorded her and her Staff and prayed for God’s blessings and guidance upon his life.
Receiving the plaque, the National Chief Imam, was grateful for the kind gesture and prayed for God’s protection, guidance, and blessings on the life of the Minister as well as her entire staff.
Dr. Sheik Osmanu Nuhu Shaributu commended the harmony and peaceful co-existence among all the various Religious Faiths in the Country and subsequently prayed for the Peace of the World.
The Sector Minister was accompanied by the Chief Director Mr. Noah Tumfo, the deputy Director Mr. Obeng Poku, as well as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mr. Nelson Akatey and other Senior Staff of the sector.
